The numerous islands and relatively shallow seas between Flores and the coast West Komodo average current very rapid changes in tide, especially when tidal waters higher in the Pacific flows north across the Indian Ocean to the south. The upwelling of deep seas surrounding bring nutrients and plankton to keep the waters of Komodo rich and well fed.

Unlike other parts of Indonesia, the reefs around the southern islands suffered damage relatively some fishing with dynamite. Much of the area is now in protecting the national park. The shallow reefs between Flores and the northern region however, were bombed in the past but are now recovering their former glory. The island is also famous for its dragon Komodo Dragon, the largest lizards in the world. A predator alert and agile treasure that can reach 2.5 meters in length and 125 kg, they are known locally as 'Ora' about 1100 and now inhabit the island and about half living on the nearby island of Rinca.

Redang Island, Pulau Redang is called in the local language, is located 45 km offshore of Terengganu, a state in the north-eastern peninsula of Malaysia. The size of the island, about 7 km long and 6 meters wide, is low. Together with other islands, Pulau Pinang, Pulau Lima, Pulau Ekor Tebu, Pulau Perhentian Besar, Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Pulau Susu Dara, Pulau Lang Tengah and Pulau Kapas, this group of islands that form the Pulau Redang Marine Park, which is wonderful abundant marine fish, turtles and coral reef offers great snorkelling and diving experience. There are over 500 species of live coral, 1000 species invertebrates and almost 3000 species of fish, including manta rays, rays, sharks and whale sharks, all living harmoniously in the reefs fringing islands.

Redang Island is famous for its white sand beaches, Crystal clear blue sea, brilliant underwater world has one of the best coral reefs in the world. With over 20 different dive sites, is a haven of peace for the and amateur photographers of scuba diving. Some of them are black coral gardens, shipwrecks near Pinang Island, a subterranean chamber, mysterious and Mini Mount.

Redang season Diving begins around March and lasts until early October. The daily temperature ranges from 22 º C night at 34oC at noon. Visibiity average is 15 meters. On good days, you can give up to 30 meters. Some of the favorite dive sites are:

Monte Major

Located approximately 50 to 100 meters from the northern tip of Pulau Lima, Big attachment is completely submerged oval Mountains submarines. Does anyone know the world record for the number of SCUBA divers diving from one boat?

I know lots of mass dives have been done from shore dives, the last being in Maldives as far as I know. So just curious.

scuba diving?

i've seen on tv and stuff ppl go diving with just snorkels, but they take the snorkels underwater. do they have somekinda special snorkel that holds oxygen or sumthin or what. plz help me i want to go scuba diving soon as a beginner but i need info.

Scuba diving is awesome! u only need the snorkel if u wanna quicly jump in the water, like if you saw a pod of dolphins on the way back to shore in the boat u could just ask the boat to stop and go snorkel with the dolphins. i leave mine in the boat as it is a hastle to dive with it.

The Indonesian island of Bali is still attracts millions of tourists each year. Dive Diving Gear

does anyone know of an insurance company that will insure my dive and freefall gear away from home as well as?

I want to insure my diving gear and skydiving gear in my contents insrance but also want it covred in the car and when i am away with it on the boat etc.

You'll need to get separate diving equipment insurance. Because of the replacement value of your kit, it wouldn't be covered on your contents insurance, unless you increased the accidental damage cover. Even so, you would have to check the small print to see if diving gear would/could be covered.

One of the many impressive marine encounters in Galápagos is with the Pacific manta ray (Manta hamiltoni), the largest of the rays. Specimens of this cartilaginous fish have reached "major" more than 7 feet wide, and with his body flattened as birds glide under water. Snorkel Water

How do you do a flip turn with a snorkel so you don't choke on the incoming water?

I am talking about when swimming laps with the snorkel. I have trouble once doing my flip turn expelling the water that enters my snorkel. If any one has any tips of what to do before, during, and/or after flip turning with the snorkel that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just make sure you are breathing out as hard as you can and pushing the air through to make sure water doesn't come in
