scuba diving wrist computer?

I want to buy Suunto diving computer, is Suunto D6 is good, or do I prefer stinger??
What the best diving computer adviced by you?

Very much depends on your budget, I use a Suunto Mosquito, mainly because I wanted a dive computer that is not too large to be used every day as a watch - refused to spend a thousand dollars on an instrument for once a week use. I have used mine for the last 3 years and it has been great. Best bet is to see if you can find a store that has a good selection - and try a few, look at the cost versus practical use etc.. And remember never rely on one instrument alone - always use a watch, depth gauge and good old tables.

Which dive computer algorithms?
Scuba equipment is used to calculate the time to dive to a maximum immersion, for longer and safer. The dive computer as he took charge of the diving platform as a tool to calculate all parameters necessary to go diving.

This algorithm model uses eight tissue compartments and was updated recently with two additional letters, the adaptive Bühlmann model has been expanded to be known as the ZH-L8 ADT MB which means microbubbles. This algorithm is used by Scubapro and Uwatec.

does anyone know of an insurance company that will insure my dive and freefall gear away from home as well as?

I want to insure my diving gear and skydiving gear in my contents insrance but also want it covred in the car and when i am away with it on the boat etc.

I am going to start scuba diving as a hobby and am looking to get some opinions on what type of scuba diving equipment to buy.

If you're going to dive "as a hobby" then you're probably not going to do high-end diving (Tek, photography, cave/wreck, etc.)
That means you don't have to spend wagon loads of money on expensive gear.
As with anything, there are 'discount' grades of gear and opportunities to spend too much.

Get connected with a local dive shop that has a good reputation among local divers. That's how you want to handle purchase and maintenance of critical life support - specifically your regulator. DO NOT EVER buy this kind of stuff from an online vendor.
Wet suits and gloves and accessories you can buy online once you know what size and what you like. I actually have a wetsuit that I bought used and have gotten good service from it.
Personally, I won't buy a mask that I can't try on first.
Fins will last a very long time if maintained and they're not expensive to buy at the dive shop.

Don't get in a hurry to buy gear. Try out several kinds as rented equipment first. You'll especially want to see what kind of instruments you like before spending the bucks on gages or a computer.

Hookah Diving

How does hookah diving work ?

I have 2 questions about hookah diving, please explain to me.

I am a scuba instructor for http://www.visibilityunlimited.com and though I have never tried the hookah systems I have read up on them and have talked to people who have used them. Hookah diving, also called Surface Air Supply (SAS) was the precursor to Scuba which stands for self contained underwater breathing apparatus.
Instead of taking cylinders (scuba tanks) down with you, the air in a hookah system come from the surface. The air is pumped down to the diver via a gas or electrically driven air compressor. The air supply may also from pressurized air cylinders as well but the cylinders are not on the diver.
Hookah systems for divers tends to be limiting to the amount area that a diver can explore because they basically have only so much air supply hose between them and their air supply.
Scuba on the other hand allows the diver more freedom because they have their air supply in pressurized cylinders on their backs.
As far as tying the air line around the body or waist? I am 95% positive that they do not do that. They may have safety lines (not air supply lines) attached to their bodies but there is always a chance for the lines to get fouled up.
Hookah diving is still used today in the form of snuba and in commercial diving where the helmets are used. I think they still make the brownie third lung which is a gas powered compressor that floated in the water at the surface (scares the heck outta me) but Haven't seen or heard of them in quite awhile.

Dive Computer Transmitter

What are the pro's and cons of my current SCUBA setup?

I am currently diving with a Ladyhawk, air-integrated BC (scubapro), with an S600 reg.
I also have an OC1 computer (lucky me!), but with no transmitter.

That sounds like a really nice rig to me. I have an Oceanic Chute 2 BC which has a similar back-flotation configuration and I like it. I use an Oceanic DataMax Pro Plus computer and I like it a lot too. It's hose-mounted, not wrist-mounted like yours. I like the way it shows the remaining bottom time based on either nitrogen loading or remaining air and consumption rate, whichever is lower. It's nice to know that I'll get a warning if I get close to the limit on either of those, but of course as long as I watch my depth and air consumption, I'm generally on the way back to the boat before I get close to either limit. Still, I like having that added protection in case I get distracted. If you dive a lot, you might want to consider getting the transmitter, because I assume it would give your computer that same functionality.

I am looking to buy two new sets of diving equipment for newly certified divers. I wonder if it's good art Mares

Dive Tank

How much does it cost to get a dive tank and regulator certified?

Someone gave me a set. It's older and I'm told they work just fine, but needs to be certified professionally.

It depends on the most recent date you see punched on the sticker on the tank. If it requires a visual inspection ( once a year) it's usually only 20-30 bucks. If it requires both a visual as well as a hydro test, that can get up to 40-50 bucks at most dive shops.
If you do regular business with the local dive shop, some will inspect the regs free of charge, if not, then it's reasonable to expect them to charge you 20-50 bucks for an inspection and basic cleaning. If you need parts...more.
Prices vary widely from shop to shop and how much business you do with that shop. Myself, I never pay for air fills, minor parts or inspections, just for hydros because I do a large volume of business with my LDS.

Where can I buy vintage diving equipment diving?

I want to buy some old double hose regulators and wetsuits and no one in Dive shops sold. I checked out the website online too ... Does anyone have any that do not need more? I would bring hands free if in good working conditions! ..

Ebay is the best bet, but expect to pay a little more, though the harvest diving equipment is not normally used much more that can be got a very good price. Just remember that it is difficult to maintain in good vintage gear such as working conditions are hard to find parts and service is difficult for most of the old equipment can not be used more diving.
