The fins themselves were fantastic! Wonderful idea. The fins were the perfect length for small legs. Basically they are plastic fins covered with neoprene Great for ‘scratch prevention’. (If you’ve ever been standing too close to your child while they were swimming with fins on you know what that means!) HOWEVER, the L/XL size says it fits shoe size of 4-6. My son wears a size 4.5 shoe and only about 3/4 of his foot would even fit in the foot bed. So keep that it mind when ordering!

The swim fins are as advertised EXCEPT on the sizing. My 6 year old wears a size 1 1/2 shoe, which should put her squarely in the middle of the Small/Medium size, but when I bought them, she could not even begin to get her foot in them. We returned them for a size large and they work fine, but consider that when you are choosing a size!!
