This diver series is the most popular collection that Orient has to offer. A feature that makes this model into a professional diver watch is its water-resistance of up to 200 meters. This is perfect for you if you enjoy scuba diving on your vacations to Hawaii. You will notice that this watch combines the timeless design of the dial with the sporty look of the bezel to create a work of art. This collection of diver watch is all mechanical. What this means is that it runs on the spring of the watch. When the diver watch is worn, it will automatically store power in the spring. Hence the name, automatic watches. The dial for this watch comes with both day and date indicators located at the 3 o’clock position. The day indicator is adjusted by unscrewing the push-button, located on the 2 o’clock position, and pushing the button for the specific day. The date indicator is adjusted by the crown (time-setting piece) located on the ... Click For More Information >>

I believe that I received a defect model of the watch, since I have been only wearing it for a month and it is already not functioning properly. I noticed that the battery discharge completely in 10-15 min, no matter how much movement I am doing to keep it charged. I know from personal experience that this is not supposed to happen since my brother own the exact same watch and he is very satisfied with it. Hence, I was happy to order one for myself. But, I am very disappointed to know that I received a malfunctioned watch.
I submitted numerous emails to regarding this issue to Puri-Time, Inc, (Orient authorized dealer in US). But they never return my email or call.

This watch is a bargain for what you get, it’s 100% japanese made watch ( unlike other Japanese brands ), it has an in-house automatic movement, very accurate and precise, ( mine the first 2 weeks gain about 10 secs, then it settled and after that it has not lost or gain a second in about a week now ) it has a long power reserve ( about 40 Hrs ) and the blue dial is just beautiful, the pic does not do it justice, I would recommend this watch to any watch enthusiast, beginner collector. or just some one looking for a good automatic dive watch in this price range. IMO, Orient is better than many Seikos even though they are owned by Seiko ( not sure in what percentage )
The reasons I just give it a 4 star and not a 5… Well, here they are:
Number 1st. I don’t like the Orient Logo, I think is not only outdate but also ugly and it makes their watches look cheap,
however they had that logo since day one, I doubt they’ll change it just to accommodate my taste;
the 2nd reason is, no diver extension, although I don’t need it, it would be nice if it had one;
the 3rd reason is, I think the day/date window is antiquated too 60′s or 70′s if you will;
number 4 reason, it should really bring only one crown instead of two crowns ( get rid of the 2 O’clock push down button ), besides, if anything I would like to change the date and not the day from that second push down button;
number 5, when you pull the 3 O’clock crown, the stem looks and feels kind of flimsy and I have read some reviews where people claim they have come apart ( so I just pull it with TLC just in case, and no problem so far )
Number 6, you can’t hack nor hand wind this movement, but then again, neither are the counterparts from other Japanese movements, at least not in this price range ( I.E. Seiko & Miyota ) but even with all of these “looks faults” for the most part, you’re still getting not only a great watch but also a lot for the money. I’m very impressed with it; especially with it’s accuracy and precision.

I haven’t taken this watch off (except for sleeping, because it is a heavy watch, and I would hurt myself if I wore it) since I got it. I love this watch. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about it.

I’m a watch enthusiast and have had dozens over the years. This watch is an incredible value and bang for the buck. It has an in-house (developed by Orient) movement that runs smoothly and keeps excellent time. Mine did not gain or loose 1 second in 7 days, literally. Its screw down crown and day pusher make sure it’s water tight. I have no doubt this is a competent dive watch. It does not hack or hand wind, however these aren’t that necessary in my opinion. Buy it – you can’t go wrong with this Orient.

I don’t wish to be redundant but this truely is one of the most handsome watches out there at any price. The blue dial is very rich and deep. Very calming and relaxing. The watch is much more than the pretty paint though. Everything on the watch is good to very good in quality. Nothing cheap on this watch, and it has many fine details you only see in MUCH more expensive and fragile watches.
If I could change some things I would add a sapphire crystal, though the mineral one has resisted scratches well, and it keeps the price down. Also, the bph is about 21K which means the second hand sweep isn’t as smooth as Swiss ETA movements but it will probably need maintenance less often. Keep in mind that these watches are largely marketed to folks in the world that have less disposable income than Americans so they are not as often seen in the US. For about $150.00 Orient did a terrific job of creating a beautiful watch that can be adored by most of our brothers and sisters in this world.
