scuba diving Going pro?
the pro status for scuba diving goes from divemaster, open water instructor,specialty instructor, master scuba diver trainer, IDC staff instructor, master instructor, and course director. I have a dive shop that can certify me all the way up to a master instructor but i was wondering how much on average is made by each level.. i know theres alot of things involved whether they own their business or if they just go in for someone in teach classes thats why its just a range im looking for each one.. bc i plan on opening a dive shop once i get my open water inst. cert. but i will continue from there to get the rest but im curious how much will be made not that im looking to be a millionaire from this but only make a good living for me and my family
Wow! You should really slow down with these plans. These certifications are important and take lots of time, especially actual dive log time.
I have spoken to many dive shop operators in my area, (west florida), and find that it is not an easy way to make a living. You really do this for the love of diving.
The more successaful outfits, own boats, rental gear. and teach anything from how to swim, on up to the higher levels you mention. Remember, the economy is not the greatest right now, and many of your potential customers are cutting expenses on luxury hobbies like diving.
This is a great idea you have, but "slow down", and anticipate the unexpected first. Many operators lose their as_es in this field. I would suggest going one step at a time, and be certain you have the market to sustain the investments you are considering.

You can reserve each section. Travel separately, you can buy the package holiday, you can be in. liveaboard to the total or form of any of these options.
