NAUI Scuba Diving swimming test?
Ok so im taking a diving class offered at my school. To continue with the class, we have to pass three tests: Dead man's float for 10 minutes, swim 50 meters in a puff of air, then swim 300 yards (275 meters, 6 laps of the pool and since) in 9 minutes. Courtyard 300 swim, we are not allowed to use glasses or a tube and can not swim back. Needless to say I spent the first two but not the third. I get another opportunity to take and pass the test today. I wonder: 1. It must be a time limit for the 300 yard swim? 2. Is the test for our NAUI swim 300 yards the following for your swim evidence? 3. Does anyone have any advice on how I can swim faster to make my time using less energy so I'm not so exhausted? - I really need to pass this test swim swim so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
The NAUI Standards and Procedures are designed for use as a guide. From the top of my head, I think they live in open water certification from the norm is 225 yards, with a time limit.
