Has anyone tried this leather repair kit, and what were the results?

The products in the kit is what might be used by a professional restorer leather but they have years of experience to use properly. Color matching also for the repair (even for black may be a problem because the brightness level) can be a real problem, bad color matching will make the repair look twice as bad. If the cuts are in an area of high stress (seats, etc.) then you probably will not last, especially if they go all the way through the skin. It is best to spend money on a professional job. if you are in the UK LTT ring for advice before doing anything.
