My Husband has a c-pap wondering how to reduce the moisture in a full face mask?
My husband has a c-pap machine for sleep apenea and he has to wear the full face mask due to chornic sinus problems. He was wondering what to do for all the moisture. He said he feels like he is in a rain forest. He has tried to increase and decrease the humidity levels he tried putting a paper towel in side the walls of the mask.
Any suggestions?
Does he have a humidifier attached to his machine? Usually, this can be adjusted as to how much humidity it puts in. If he does not and this steam/mist is from him exhaling into the mask - this is normal. You do not want dry air - this dries out his nasal passages. Your best bet would be to call the company where he got his C-PAP machine and have them offer appropriate suggestions to your problem.

The time has come for the administrative softball fastball Adult and youth require all softball pitchers and 3rd basemen to wear a protective mask softball face. Let me give some examples of real life that I witnessed firsthand. A few years ago when my girls team softball team was just 10 years (although we were very good), we had the opportunity to play a High School Junior Varsity team. During this match, one of our 10 years old girls hit a line shot back to the pitcher. The pitcher was just able to move his head enough the ball slipped on the side of the head just above his ear. She immediately fell to the ground and everyone rushed the field to see about it. Fortunately, the bullet had ricocheted from his place of duty on blunt impact. She suffered a very severe wear on head, a swollen ear, and a pretty good size knot on his head. Understand that I am talking to a girl 14 years old athletic enough only had the chance to react and turn the head about 45 degrees to avoid a bullet struck a 10 year old girl.
Just this season I the coach has the 3rd goal of playing so close to home plate. 3rd goal of many now play about 20 feet inside 3rd base and more closely when the coach thinks the other team is going to decay. Later that same inning, a batter ripped a line drive over 18 inches directly the head of his daughter. It has not even had time to fade. Honestly, it was so sudden that she had no time to duck or move his hands to protect themselves. The dad, relieved that his daughter was fine, said: "That's it. One might think a face protective mask is only applicable to girls softball, but it is naive. There are just two years, I met a man who has played recreational softball slow pitch. In fiscal Previous to this rule, the softball team my daughter was the only team in our league fastball that has voluntarily put a mask on batting helmets. That's one team of about 50 teams.
I do not know why more players do not wear the protective mask. I suspect some parents do not know it exists and many other parents do not want to spend the $ 40.00 because the chances are so slim. Imagine what could be the cost of a trip to the emergency room a week in hospital, and two or three re-constructive surgery. It's just the cost financial reality. Also consider the possibility of losing sight in one eye, or damage associated with mental scars from having 189 points suture. These costs can not be measured.
Now that you've been made aware of the safety problem, the severity of the injury, knowledge that there's softball protective masks on the market, what is your position? Would you be proactive with your local league? If you coach, you Be proactive with your team? Finally, would you be proactive with your daughter, or with yourself if you play softball?
Slo-Pitch Softball and fastball are great games. I hope you will take the necessary precautions to ensure your safety and those you are responsible for.
