What is that fish emblem on the back of cars?
as a Christian symbol, and why would my car most likely be vandalized for having a pentagram decal whereas those silly fish and dove emblems wouldn't attract fanatics? (hint: that was a rhetorical question)
People refer to it as being Christian. However, it really has nothing to do with God. The cross does.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

Halfway between the cities of Colombo and Kandy, in the central highlands, the orphanage was established as a sanctuary in 1975, with four mother-baby elephants. Many descendants of the original four are now living happily in the orphanage, but also, more recently become an important breeding center. Now, housing elephants over 70 - the largest group of elephants in captivity in the world - the center is a beacon for conservation as well as a popular tourist site.
Polonnaruwa
The ancient city of Polonnaruwa is wonderfully well preserved and a must on your vacation is an easy area to explore, because it is so compact, and is delightful to stroll through the ancient statues and feel the history that emanates from the ancient site. Today, the excavation and conservation are in place in order to preserve these ruins fascinating.
Bentota Beach
This is the best beaches to visit on holiday in Sri Lanka are all over the Bentota and Aluthgama areas. The wide sandy beaches are lapped by the warm waters of the Ocean Indian and is a popular spot for diving, fishing and swimming of course. Although there are a lot of ski resorts in the area and can get very busy, yet is possible to find some quieter beaches where you take a long relaxing walk alone. Alternatively, take a river cruise up the river to enjoy Bentota wildlife and experience of the geography of the river, which, in some places separated from the sea for only 100 yards from shore.
