can anyone recommend a good snorkel and mask?
i had a US divers set but the mask broke. im looking to replace it but i dont want a cheap quality one. thanks for your help.
There are many good companys in the UK a good sign of quality is that they call fins fins, and not flippers.

You sometimes see more of your friends talk about diving. Now you get what the fun ... What are the steps to become certified?
Step 1: Ask friends where they have received their certification training early. Meeting with the instructor of the facility. The instructor will be your guide in your program of Patent scuba diving.
STEP 2: The Open Water / Scuba Diver is the first level of diver certification, your ticket an exciting adventure in the underwater world. This course includes knowledge development (classroom), skill practice in confined water (pool) Diving and reality in the water (ocean), all under the supervision of an instructor certified in scuba. Open Water / SCUBA Diver course consists of 5 modules of instruction (or home study e-Learning), 5 confined water modules and 5 water (ocean) modules.
For your convenience, the theoretical part of the Open Water / Scuba Diver may be completed one of three ways. You may learn at any time using the Open Water / Scuba Diver DVD and a manual or interactive CD-ROM in the comfort of your own home, then meet with your instructor to review your progress.
Some certification bodies offer a second option called e-Learning. And yet, you can start whenever you want with the click of a mouse. e-learning students do not attend class sessions and do their training on the Internet wherever they are.
Option 3rd is to complete all class modules and DVD in a classroom with your instructor and other divers.
STEP 3: During or after your university, you get to spend time in the pool while learning the art of breathing underwater. This is the "practice" in part your training program scuba. The academic and practical applications are met while you learn how to manage your diving equipment above and below the waterline. The buddy system, skills in the water, communications and the joy of being weightless in the liquid medium come into play while in the pool.
Step 4: If you thought you had a blast in the pool, then you will love being in the ocean. You are now ready to take all the Open Water part of the program.
You and your instructor will tour the coral reefs, ridges and falling ocean you quickly review and build on the skills you learned in your class and work together. Depending on where you dive there will be all kinds of fish swimming with you. Perhaps a grouper, a line or an octopus waiting to welcome you with open tentacles to their wonderful world and colorful.
After the end of your dive 4th adventure training, your instructor gives you the "OK" sign, shake your hand and password on your certification card for diving.
