My wrist is hurting me from using a computer at work, are there any exercises/tips that will help my wrist?
I have been having a shooting pain from my wrist up to my forearm from being on the computer at work. I think this isn't due to typing, but from using the mouse. Do you know of any exercises I could do at my desk to help my wrist? Or any tips? Thanks
It sounds like you are developing carpal tunnel syndrome. They have those mouse pads with the built in gel lifts. They are supposed to help.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common problem that affects the hands and wrists. Many believe that computers are a major cause of this type of problem. But before this problem was already in existence due to the type of work we used to do. Computers do increase the risk of the syndrome, but not called as the main culprit. There are other reasons for suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, such as weaving, wood carving, work detailed minutes of work, the use of excessive vibration machines and driving a long time.
Carpal tunnel is in the wrist and very important nerve called the median nerve is also present there. This nerve helps control some of the muscles that help in moving the thumb. Problem occurs when you apply too much pressure on the median nerve. This pressure causes inflammation of the tendons that pull the carpal tunnel that leads to carpal tunnel syndrome.
Anyone can be affected by this syndrome. Age is not a barrier. It is noteworthy that women are more affected by this syndrome, compared with men. The areas most affected are the thumb, middle finger and index finger. You may experience pain, tingling or numbness. The pain can be very serious because it can wake you up in the middle night.
