uk scuba diving advice?
well today i did my first two dives for open water up a capernray it was freezing the first dive wasnt so bad becuase we were moving around but the second was unbelivebly cold that my hands couldnt move at all and i even struggled to inflate my bcd and equalize does anyone have anyways of keeping my hands not as cold wilst scuba diving except dry suit gloves?
I'm afraid there isn't much you can do here ( I assume you own a decent pair of wet suit gloves). Your second dive is ALWAYS going to be colder than the first. Just make sure that the gloves you have, fit properly and have minimal water movement in them. Gauntlets are better than shorter gloves in this regard, as they seal over your forearm, against your suit and don't leave a gap at the wrist, like normal gloves can. I feel your "pain". I regularly ice dive, over winter and I'm usually only good for 30 minutes on the first and 25 minutes on the second dive.
