What to do when you lose your PADI diving certificate?

I have a PADI Open Water license. I moved. I lost my logbook too. Do you thnk I can still Waltz Into a dive shop and dive? dudes, I called my cert store, they said contact PADI they suck, men. haveto do I expect the replacement to arrive? I want to dive way men right!

If you have lost your certification card, you must order a new one from PADI. Meanwhile, any dive professional (divemaster, instructor, dive shop) you can look in the system Online. How long until I become a master diver?

How many weeks does it take if I am in water for 4 hours day, 5 days per week to become a dive master?

You could do it in about three weeks. I would not recommend it, but possible. The three week time frame took the diving conditions perfect and it assumes no problem on your side (ear or sinus problems, for example). The minimum requirements for Master Scuba Diver and how you can attend to its completion in three weeks (five days diving / week) WEEK Certification Open Water (3 days / 5 dives) Advanced Open Water Certification (2 days / 5 dives) SECOND WEEK Rescue Diver (2-3 days) five specialty certifications (6-15 dives) WEEK THREE Finish any remaining specialty dives and diving continue to meet requirement of 50 divers. Something important to keep in mind you can do a maximum of three training dives in a day. Therefore there must be a minimum of two days to get your Advanced Open Water Cert. That said, there is no limit to the number of dives you can do daily to the required minimum of 50 dives. So you could make three dives to your class, Advanced and then save a couple fun then dives towards your 50 for the Master Scuba Diver. Some things you need about specialties: * Non-proprietary account for your scuba dive master diver. Thus, if your monitor was placed, you could do three dives for your advanced class and then return to the classroom and eliminate your specialized equipment Specialist (not dive for that one). * The dives you do in your meter certification to advanced diving portion of a specialty. For example, a dive depth is necessary for certification Advanced Open Water. This diving for the proprietary account of diving deep. The three specialty is scuba diving cut in two (at the discretion of the instructor). * You can make a specialty of enriched air at the same time you make your advanced course (PADI only). Books Scuba Diving?

I want to buy one of my friends a book about scuba diving for his birthday - it was something he always wanted to do. None of the books you recommend would be great! Thank you

The PADI or NAUI course manual is a waste of money to buy. If he takes the course is included and it is really useless in the study forward, as he really needs to be lived in a environment of the classroom anyway. They do not cover some aspects, such as types of devices and manufacturers, for example. There are a number of books on diving Underwater on the market, the two divers About Real as The Last Dive (excellent read) and Diver Down (prevention of accidents) Travel books like The Scuba Companion Diver's, Termination of dive sites and facilities in the world. How long does it take to become a PADI Scuba Diver Ceritfied?

I would like to become a certified diver (not Dive Master), but I'm curious how long it takes.

Hours vary by dive shops and instructors. Below, I describe the timetable is offered by the shop where I work: First, the PADI certification comprises three parts: the pool, classroom, and the certification dives. We want to pool and classroom sessions together since we have a pool on the premises of the dive shop. If the pool is located at another location, it could add a little time. Our pool and classroom is five nights a week for about four hours a night or a weekend (Saturday and Sunday at a time) for about ten hours a day, or private courses at your own pace. cerfitications For diving, there are four dives to be completed in two days. Our most popular classes are the five weeknights, followed by two days of fund dives.

Cozumel conditions scuba diving? We (spouse and two adult children) are planning a trip to scuba March 2008.?

We were Cancun and Grand Cayman. Cozumel will be good? I read that the hurricanes have really screwed up the reef and diving is not pleasant. True?

You have a great time diving in Cozumel. I was in Cozumel in April and again in late August. Coral shallow, which are used primarily for snorkeling are a little screwed up, but the deeper reefs are very good. The main problem that we August was the visibility, but our trip was scheduled a week after the hurricane struck Costa Maya and the water was still agitated. After the first 3 days, the screw was back to normal. I am as Houston and air travel is only about two hours, My wife and I often take trips to Cozumel to dive. I urge you to dive a cenote while your in the area, as well.

Hi, I'm going to Riviera Maya in 2 weeks and want to scuba diving. I am not certified and know that I owe the discovery (during swimming), then the ocean. But I want to hear from some who have been in Riviera Maya or Cozumel.

I have been with Scuba Club Cozumel, but I did Advanced Open Water with them not Discover. However, they offer a Discover Scuba class. It is present on top of their training. Http: / / www.scubaclubcozumel.com / training.html I personally loved SCC. This is a clean and well managed.

How strong a swimmer you need to be scuba diving?

I always wanted to learn to dive diving, but I'm not a very good swimmer. I can swim, but I do not feel really comfortable in the water. I do not go to the pool or beach, but I really think I would go diving. I'd like to see what lies beneath the surface. To me, it would be like any other world. Has anyone had the same experience of diving? You do not hesitate to swim or dive? Any advice?

Regarding swimming and scuba diving, the key comes down to comfort in the water. I answered this before, so here is a copy-paste a previous response: I had students who were learning to swim at a time when they were in my class underwater. First, you must be comfortable in water. Most problems I encounter while diving courses are linked to people being uncomfortable in the water. If you can not swim, but are comfortable in water, so I can teach you diving underwater (see the following article for the exception to this comment). Secondly, there is a swimming assessment (either swimming or Pitch / FIN / snorkel swimming) and water from the tread, which are both required to complete the course. Finally, there is no "traditional" swimming motion (such as freestyle and breaststroke) in scuba diving. You are propelled by fins using a variety of kicks. That said, you will be doing activities in / on water, so a certain level proficienty bathing is necessary for security reasons.
