Do I need a flag to spearfish or hunt lobster in SoCal if I'm snorkeling?

I know I need a liscence and i know that i would need a flag if I were using SCUBA gear, but under any circumstances would I need a flag in Southern California.

Regardless of whether it is being used for snorkelling or scuba trips, any support boat for in-water activities should be flying the 'divers down' flag (red with diagonal white stripe, or the international 'A-flag'--or both) until all passengers have reboarded. Other boats are legally required to motor well clear of diveboats flying this flag (at least 30-50 yards/metres, under most jurisdictions), and may only approach at idle speed/dead slow/<5 knots, to minimise the risk of accidental collision with swimmers.

Divers themselves do not necessarily have to tow a marker float (with or without 'flag')--but would be well-advised to do so anywhere there is other boating traffic, if feasible, since it increases their visibility to other boats (and also their own boat cover), and thus their safety. The same would apply to a snorkeller, especially if they were planning to freedive for spearfishing/collection purposes. Snorkellers/freedivers would also be well-advised to follow the 'buddy system', with one on the surface while the other dives.

Boats should not be left unmanned in open water, even if anchored--and the person(s) left aboard should be capable of operating the boat/radio unassisted (and must certified/licensed to do so if the boat is being used for commercial activities). Thus, for a dive trip, this means that there should be at least 3 people aboard (1 crew, 2 divers), and preferably 4 (i.e. 2 crew) for commercial operation.

Short Sleeve Rash
My arms are red, rashy and dry! Help me?

Right, my arms are really dry. They are red and rashy, and the rashes look like spots. I've tried evey potion I can find, but no improvement. It puts me off wearing short sleeved tops because people say about it and it's kind of hurt my confidence.

i looked in my book and it says to make sure area is dry and not shaved for 24 hours before using.. it also says avoid contact with clothes,jewellery..it also says an adverse drug reaction can be skin irritation....i hope this helps. ..you could just rub body cream under your arms after shaving until you can use driclor again..b

I am looking for the best solution to ear protection (water entering the ear) when I scuba dive.
I am told that ear plugs with holes (made for diving) allow you to equalize. Which I have no problem doing. However, I am tring to find out what works better protecting the ears. There is nothing more pathetic than a baby in distress, and a baby with a yeast infection is no different. Females have the extra concern of vaginal areas but, in babies, any rash that is not attended to can create the perfect environment for a yeast infection. Like adults, babies taking antibiotics are more susceptible to yeast infections, since the antibiotic medications can kill the "healthy" bacteria needed to keep a body healthy.

Since a yeast infection spreads through a baby's digestive tract, a yeast infection can involve the mouth (thrush) and the diaper area. Try looking at your baby's diaper rash to determine if the rash has lots of bumps, pus-filled bumps, or a pattern. The infection will generally last more than two days and will not respond to typical treatment for diaper rash.

When To See A Doctor

If you are concerned and a first-time parent, by all means, have the baby's doctor

Take a look at the rash. If this is a recurrent problem with the same child, perhaps your physician can make suggestions on how to avoid this problem in the future. If the child is on antibiotics, it may be a symptom that will be present for the course of the treatment. In general, the best course of treatment, although not a total preventative, is to keep the diaper area dry - and don't fasten diapers so tight that there is no possibility for "air" circulation.

If your baby does in fact have a yeast infection, your doctor will probably suggest any of several over-the-counter (cream) remedies for anti-fungal purposes. Your first incidence may hopefully be your last, but it is entirely possible that it will not. After your first bout with the infection and you are confident that you recognize the symptoms of a yeast infection on your baby, you may take it upon yourself to treat it similarly; ask your doctor if you have any questions. Don't use suppositories or oral remedies that have been prescribed for adult members of the family.

The pressure drop may become a problem of compressed air system that flies the time of production and money.

"Once installed, the recommended maintenance procedures should be followed and documented.

Reduce the distance of the airflow to travel through the system.
