Can you make an effective heavy bag by filling a duffel bag with sand?
I can't afford a heavy swinging bag by any means, but I've been trying to find something that will work that I can just put together on my own. I've tried a pillowcase on the suggestion of a martial artist friend of mine, but it wound up ripping the fabric, so I need something more durable. So will a duffel bag work? If not, any other suggestions? Thanks.
You could make it with a duffel bag, but you would want to put the sand inside a heavy duty plastic trash bag first.
