Hey i need a little help with my seadoo sea scooter?

wen i plug in the battery to the scooter it automatically turns on and does not turn off unless i unplug it.. any suggestions will be greatly appriciated.

try checking for open spot of wire and make sure that it not just the fan that is comin on

Dive Computer Transmitter

What are the pro's and cons of my current SCUBA setup?

I am currently diving with a Ladyhawk, air-integrated BC (scubapro), with an S600 reg.
I also have an OC1 computer (lucky me!), but with no transmitter.

That sounds like a really nice rig to me. I have an Oceanic Chute 2 BC which has a similar back-flotation configuration and I like it. I use an Oceanic DataMax Pro Plus computer and I like it a lot too. It's hose-mounted, not wrist-mounted like yours. I like the way it shows the remaining bottom time based on either nitrogen loading or remaining air and consumption rate, whichever is lower. It's nice to know that I'll get a warning if I get close to the limit on either of those, but of course as long as I watch my depth and air consumption, I'm generally on the way back to the boat before I get close to either limit. Still, I like having that added protection in case I get distracted. If you dive a lot, you might want to consider getting the transmitter, because I assume it would give your computer that same functionality.

After had the opportunity to test the beta version of this diving watch, I was impressed in general and neutral in a number of things. If you have poor eyesight, the purity of the device does not lend itself to more readable. I had my mask to squint to see the display in low light. So if you have poor vision, perhaps Oceanic ProPlus II is a better computer for you.
Secondly, the digital compass is a bit difficult (keep in mind this was one demonstration units, and has probably been fixed). Must be flat to announce the measure of degree.
Finally, 5-7mm gloves (we dive into the cold waters of the Pacific), the buttons are somewhat difficult to manipulate, change the setting. In addition, the team is a very sophisticated piece of Technology and a DVD that came with your computer with a step-by-step would be.

Scuba Wetsuit
What size wetsuit do you know need for scuba diving?

I live by the great lakes and i want to know how thick of a wetsuit do i need to scuba dive? i am taking a scuba class at the end of august and need a wetsuit before then? i was told 7mm by a couple of people and me and my buddy are diving 50 to 70 feet down.

It all depends on how cold the water is. I dive in the Puget Sound and the water ranges from 40 to 55. During the summer some people can get away with wearing a single 7mm suit. but during the winter most people use a full 7mm suit and a 7mm shorty on top of that. When I started my diving it was in the month of March. I froze my *** off in the 14mm stuff. Right after my Open Water certification I got my dry suit cert. If you are going through a class they should have rental equipment so you don't have to buy a whole kit just to learn. If they don't or if they say you have to buy it all then go to a different shop. For most Open Water classes all you have to buy are mask, fins and snorkel. Everything else is rented from the shop. They will have the proper suits for you to wear.

The Cayman Islands offer some of the best wall diving in the Caribbean if not the world. The islands are located in the Central Caribbean due south of Cuba and west of Jamaica. The Caymans consist of three islands, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. The islands are the result of a tectonic plate collision and are the exposed tops of an underwater mountain range.

The Cayman climate averages 85-105°F (29-39 °C) during the summer and drops to a low of 70°F (19°C) during the winter. Water temperatures average 80°F (20°C) in the winter and 82°F (20°C) during the summer.The diving season is May through September but as with most tropical locations good diving can be found in other times of the year.

Divers from around the world descend on the three islands to dive, and the islands do not disappoint. The Cayman Islands are known for a deep oceanic trench that approaches very close to shore in multiple locations. This trench is what gives Cayman diving its exceptional visibility but even better it makes the Caymans the go to spot for wall diving in the Caribbean.

If you've spoken to divers who've dived Cayman they invariably will mention StingRay City on Grand Cayman. Sting Ray City is a particularly shallow dive at only 12ft. (4m) but it is also one of the most interesting as sting rays swoop all around you in search of food that your guide feeds them. Sting Ray city is probably one of the more famous dives having been featured on numerous travel and dive shows and magazines.

The Cayman Islands are consistently rated as one of the safest spots to dive in the world. The Cayman Islands Watersports Operators Association (CIWOA) along with the Department of the Environment ensure that dive procedures and regulations are in place and followed. More than 200 permanent mooring buoys are changed on an annual basis which allows coral regeneration and gives heavily visited dive sites a break from divers, boats, and the resulting impact on the environment.

The Cayman Islands should definitely be put on your dive to do list. You won't be disappointed.

Spring cleaning is a tradition dreaded by people attached to sentimental values. They wouldn't want to part with the items such as clothes and things not necessary for the coming months. What they don't know is that by spring cleaning, they're giving their homes a fresh start for the hectic spring and summer seasons. Think of giving your home a space to respire.

So how should we go about it?

First is to de-clutter and organize. Throw away those things that you don't actually need. Perhaps hold a profitable garage sale to clear out this stuff and earn a few quid at the same time. It would be easier to clean with lesser things to organize.

Toss out the following:

1. Old magazines and newspapers – you wouldn't need these in the future. News change every day, so does articles.

2. Medicines and cosmetics – check for the expiration dates, it's there.

3. Damaged items

4. Out of style clothes or shoes – please. The same style will come back in two decades and you wouldn't want to keep those items in your closet that long right?

5. Party favours, decorative items and trinkets which are all by the way, collecting unnecessary dust mites. Keep the love and warmth that goes with the gift but you can toss away the symbol.

Organization can be very exigent because if you're like me, you'll probably end up with a lapful of organized junk instead.

Second is to pack and label. Pack away those things that you abhor to part with and make sure to organize and label it according to the contents. This way you won't have to go through each box when looking for something. Invest in good organizers like clear cardboard boxes for easy storage and access.

Third is to scrub, vacuum and scrub again. Scrub those unwanted marks on the floors, cabinets and carpets. This is the hardest part as you would be dealing with dust and more dust but all efforts will pay off once polishing is done. Your house is now clutter free, organized and sparkling, ready to face the new season – spring!

How do you dive a diving board?

I have always had trouble diving in a pool because I would either not keep my legs straight enough and they would hit the top of the water really hard or i will bend my back to much and when i hit the water i lose my breath. i just need some tips and advice to not keep making those painful mistakes. I know it sounds pretty stupid.

Many people think that communicating is easy. It is after all something we've done all our lives. There is some truth in this simplistic view. Communicating is straightforward. What makes it complex, difficult, and frustrating are the barriers we put in the way. Here are the 7 top barriers.

1. Physical Barriers. Physical barriers in the workplace include:

* marked out territories, empires and fiefdoms into which strangers are not allowed

* closed office doors, barrier screens, separate areas for people of different status

* large working areas or working in one unit that is physically separate from others.

Research shows that one of the most important factors in building cohesive teams is proximity. As long as people still have a personal space that they can call their own, nearness to others aids communication because it helps us get to know one another.

2. Perceptual Barriers. The problem with communicating with others is that we all see the world differently. If we didn't, we would have no need to communicate: something like extrasensory perception would take its place. The following anecdote is a reminder of how our thoughts, assumptions and perceptions shape our own realities.

A traveller was walking down a road when he met a man from the next town.

"Excuse me," he said. "I am hoping to stay in the next town tonight. Can you tell me what the townspeople are like?"

"Well," said the townsman, "how did you find the people in the last town you visited?"

"Oh, they were an irascible bunch. Kept to themselves. Took me for a fool. Over-charged me for what I got. Gave me very poor service."

"Well, then," said the townsman, "you'll find them pretty much the same here."

3. Emotional Barriers. One of the chief barriers to open and free communications is the emotional barrier. It is comprised mainly of fear, mistrust and suspicion. The roots of our emotional mistrust of others lie in our childhood and infancy when we were taught to be careful what we said to others. "Mind your P's and Q's"; "Don't speak until you're spoken to"; "Children should be seen and not heard". As a result many people hold back from communicating their thoughts and feelings to others. They feel vulnerable. While some caution may be wise in certain relationships, excessive fear of what others might think of us can stunt our development as effective communicators and our ability to form meaningful relationships.

4. Cultural Barriers. When we join a group and wish to remain in it, sooner or later we need to adopt the behaviour patterns of the group. These are the behaviours that the group accept as signs of belonging. The group rewards such behaviour through acts of recognition, approval and inclusion. In groups which are happy to accept you, and where you are happy to conform, there is a mutuality of interest and a high level of win-win contact. Where, however, there are barriers to your membership of a group, a high level of game-playing replaces good communication.

5. Language Barriers. Language that describes what we want to say in our terms may present barriers to others who are not familiar with our expressions, buzz-words and jargon. When we couch our communication in such language, it is a way of excluding others. In a global market place the greatest compliment we can pay another person is to talk in their language.

One of the more chilling memories of the Cold War was the threat by the Soviet leader Nikita Khruschev saying to the Americans at the United Nations: "We will bury you!" This was taken to mean a threat of nuclear annihilation. However, a more accurate reading of Khruschev's words would have been: "We will overtake you!" meaning economic superiority. It was not just the language, but the fear and suspicion that the West had of the Soviet Union that led to the more alarmist and sinister interpretation.

6. Gender Barriers. There are distinct differences between the speech patterns in a man and those in a woman. A woman speaks between 22,000 and 25,000 words a day whereas a man speaks between 7,000 and 10,000. In childhood, girls speak earlier than boys and at the age of three, have a vocabulary twice that of boys.

The reason for this lies in the wiring of a man's and woman's brains. When a man talks, his speech is located in the left side of the brain but in no specific area. When a woman talks, the speech is located in both hemispheres and in two specific locations.

This means that a man talks in a linear, logical and compartmentalised way, features of left-brain thinking; whereas a woman talks more freely mixing logic and emotion, features of both sides of the brain. It also explains why women talk for much longer than men each day.

7. Interpersonal Barriers. There are six levels at which people can distance themselves from one another:

1. withdrawal. Withdrawal is an absence of interpersonal contact. It is both refusal to be in touch and time alone.

2. rituals. Rituals are meaningless, repetitive routines devoid of real contact.

3. pastimes. Pastimes fill up time with others in social but superficial activities.

4. working. Working activities are those tasks which follow the rules and procedures of contact but no more.

5. games. Games are subtle, manipulative interactions which are about winning and losing. They include "rackets" and "stamps".

6. closeness. Closeness is the aim of interpersonal contact where there is a high level of honesty and acceptance of yourself and others.

Working on improving your communications is a broad-brush activity. You have to change your thoughts, your feelings, and your physical connections. That way you can break down the barriers that get in your way and start building relationships that really work.
