Dry Snorkel Set

Can I add a drytop attachement to my snorkel?

Does anybody know if I can purchase a separate dry-top attachement for my snorkel? I have a Speedo Condor snorkeling set but the snorkel is labeled "splash proof dry top" which means I cannot dive under water as it does not completely keep water out. I would like to change just the top of the snorkel and replace with a dry-top one, as I am very happy with the mask and how it fits. Is that possible?

Why do you want to keep water out of the snorkel? Mine just fills with water and then I blow it out when I surface. it's a bit risky, in my personal view, to try to keep water out because it will be a shock if any does get in and you won't be prepared for it. get used to water being in the snorkel when you submerge, and it will become second nature to clear it when you surface.

I'm am looking into getting certified for SCUBA diving. What is the Equipment I need? Please specify.

I would go ahead and buy a mask, snorkel and fins. The rest I would rent until I found out if I liked the sport. Nothing quite like spending 1500 dollars on gear and then turning around 2 months later and getting 500 bucks for it if your lucky! Your instructor, and usually the dive shop will fill you in on details of gear needed. Follow directions and remember. Never, ever, ever hold your breath.

Is it permitted to scuba dive in the Bosphorus straits in Turkey? Has anyone done this?

I would like to know if there are any restrictions on scuba diving in the Bosphorus Straits, or the Black Sea. Does anyone have any experience in diving around the greater Istanbul area?

The straits have heavy sea traffic. I don't know about the rules, but it would be unsafe to say the least.

People do dive around the islands, though. The sea is cleaner, underwater life more vibrant and much more pleasant than diving in the straits.

if your a little chunky do sit ups and push ups. you look more rediculous swimming with a shirt on than off. as for sleeping, you dont have to take your shirt off.
