Does a salt water pool require as much chemistry to stay clean as a regular one?

As much as I love swimming pools, I really dislike the chlorine smell most of them have. I suppose the chemicals are necessary in order to keep the pool and the water hygienically sound, but what if sea water was used instead, and simply replaced more often?
Wouldn't that require a lot less treatment?
I am thinking about places like the Middle East and Australia now, which tend to have pools, but little water.

A salt water pool indeed requires less to no chemistry at all.

The most important thing is to exchange the water constantly through a system of special filters.

Friends of mine operate one in France and are very happy with it.
I used it last year and it was fantastic.
They even heat it up to 25°C

1. Swimmers prefer the feel and taste of water treated by the system ECOsmarte over salt water pools by an overwhelming majority.

scuba diving plz help?

K, so im 13 years old and a diver begginning. I have traditional glasses and the regulator. However, I was reading a magazine tat diving and said that taking r full face masks for diving rectreational (which ill do). are more comfortable as u dont have to bite into a regulator, the mask is the holder. do u have any suggestions, 1 which I use? and if u think you should go w / the full face mask, do u know the price range for them. Moreover, if u dive and get a camera model and the company or suggest cuz Im looking for a camera, 2. becuz i have a waterproof camera, but the case is 200 additional $'m not sure if your worthit. Scuba Diving Hood

Have not SCUBA dived in about four years, had some damage done to my ear, getting back into it....questions?

I got certified about 8 years ago and on my last dive of my certification day,i had trouble equalizing and there was a lot of pain. I had water in my ear for a couple of days after. I think I blew to hard and forced my equalizing. I have dove once more since and it was not as bad; but there was discomfort and slight pain still. My buddies recently got certified so, obviously, i want to dive with them. I have been scared to go diving because my ear problems. I can equalize pretty well in my pool. It is easier for me to equalize when I dont have a hood on...can that mean anything?
What should i do?
Any tricks for equalizing?
Should I see a doctor first?
Should I just do a dive and see if i could equalize without pain?

Have a doc check your ears, too make sure there was no lasting problems.

Then, take a SCUBA refresher course. An instructor will go over all the base skills with you again, to make sure you dive safe.

Just remember to equalise early and often. Start at the surface, and every couple feet you decend.

Find a technique that works for you. Some people need to do the pinch and blow, some use a jaw pop, and others use a combonation of these. If one works well on land, it will work well underwater, provided you do it often.

Regulator Set

What should my oxygen regulator be set at?

I just brought home my newborn son home from the hospital, and he has to be on a oxygen therapy. At the hospital their regulator was set to .20 and the the tank I took home has a regulator with the settings 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 which should mine be set to?

Everyone is different. I'm an adult on oxygen and mine is set at 2, while other adults are set at 4.
Back to your son, call the hospital immediately! That's an important thing to know, and a nurse will be able to check your son's chart.
.20 would be 1/5, so for now keep it at a heavy 1/4, just till you talk to the nurse or even the doctor.

Bcd Inflator

has anyone had Atlas BCD where the inflator hose has blown out of the jacket?

I'm betting you either constantly use a tug on the hose as a dump or through mishandling, the hose attachment cap threads were split or loosened. I've seen them crack and let go on other makes an models of BC's. Almost always through abuse.

This will be a rather brief section to the FAQ. I'll just quickly explain to you which stuff you'll want to scroll, how to scroll it, etc.

First, and most importantly, you're going to want an attack glove. Attack gloves affect Assassins like you wouldn't believe. On top of the attack glove you should also always use Warrior potions, it'll make training much better. For example, I use a 10 attack glove, and it raises the damage that I can do with Lucky 7 by up to about 300 damage per star. Which is a lot, really. Then on top of that, the warrior potion, which will also help loads. The only problem for this is the price. Buying a prescrolled 11 attack glove will cost you an insane amount, currently it's about 30 million mesos, and rising. A 10 attack is about 20 million, and an 8 attack is about 12 million. These are all assuming there are no slots again. If you've got an 11 attack glove with slots left, I envy you, seriously. This is pretty much the main reason why you'll want to fund your character.

Claw scrolling... This is a bit fuzzy. It's perfectly acceptable to scroll your level 50 claw with 100% scrolls, but if you can afford to use 60% scrolls, it's even better. Just hopefully you'll get 5 to 7 of them to work, which will end up making you a decent profit. Only succeeding 4 wont be much good, since then it'll only be 1 more attack and 4 more accuracy then you would've achieved by using 100% scrolls. Any claw past the Slain should be scrolled with 60% scrolls. Why spend 19 million mesos on a Gigantic when you're just going to use 490,000 mesos worth of scrolls on it? It's nonsense, that's what it is.

Shoe scrolling. Believe it or not, 10% Shoe Jump scrolls add 3 DEX. This isn't bad if you want to do an off-dex build, which is scrolling DEX into an equipment, and then using that DEX to meet your equipment requirements, instead of adding points into DEX with your AP. It's not too difficult to just keep trying to succeed the first slot of a snowshoe with a 10% Shoe jump scroll, and then finish with 60% shoe jump scrolls. This could all add up to a shoe not only with a lot of jump (Which you don't need, since Haste will bring you almost to the Jump Cap), but you'll also receive up to 9 DEX, which is a lot, and probably worth your time.

Cape scrolling... I believe I talked about this a bit earlier. But if you want the best results, use either 60% Cape LUK or 60% Cape DEX scrolls. It'd be nice to get a 10% to work on the first slot, but it'll cost you a lot of money, depending on the cape you're using. The extra stats will more than likely help.

Dive computers: which one do you recommend?

I've really enjoyed using the Oceanic comp that was loaned to me for my ocean dives (what a blast they were!) and I know that I need to get one of my own soon. I would like something simple, yet nitrox compatible that won't break the bank. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Thanks for the ideas... I'm hoping to purchase through my local shop because they support me in my diving and I want to support them also. My own set of gauges that I purchased last fall after starting to dive are analog, so I do have some "analog backup".

Oceanic is a good line-- they have nitrox exclusives (you know you have to dedicate at least one cylinder to nitrox only...) from $299 and up.

You can look at some of the websites-- scubapro.com and discountdivers.com-- I've had great success with the stuff I bought from them. I'd use precaution buying on ebay-- I've heard bad stories. You don't want to scimp on your basic air gear.. buy a used back up of an old analog gauge too.. those you can find at "playitagainsports" venues. Or online places. Can get a basic old time gauge for about $30 for backup. Computers have their own problems at times;-)

How much would it be to dye my hair blue black or black with boue highlights at a salon? Or what is a good dye

Hello, currently i have red hair, and i was wondering what is a good blue black hair dye, or how much would it be to get it proffesionally done. Ive been trying to look for photos of blue black hair, or black hair with blue highlights, so if you can add photos, i would be very happy. Does anyone know of a good dye, and is it better to get it proffesionally done? and about how much that would cost??

It is always best to get your hair professionally done. Hair dye you buy at a store is REALLY bad for your hair. Either get it professionally done or go to a beauty supply store and buy the dye there. The price is going to be different on what ever hair salon you go to and how ever long your hair is and everything. But it should be around $50-$80.

Six colored belts are used to signify grades in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mix Martial Art Black Belt in Virginia, Washington, Maryland. The belts, in ascending order of grades are: white, blue, purple, brown, black and red. An athlete has to be at least 16 years old to be awarded blue belt. Some academies divide the grading system further into four stages signified by different belt colors — white, yellow, orange and green. Though red is the highest rank in belts, only the Gracie family members, the pioneers in the field of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, are known to have advanced to this level.
Most, if not all, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mix Martial Art Black Belt athletes in Virginia, Washington, Maryland, aspire to be black belt holders. An athlete has to be at least 18 years old to qualify for black belt. And this is not enough; the athlete has to work hard to get there. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mix Martial Art athletes in in Virginia, Washington, Maryland are promoted on the basis of their practical knowledge, which is observed during sparring and competitions.

An athlete aiming for black belt has to practice as an athlete and also as a trainer. The level of perfection required rises with the grades. This makes getting a promotion tougher as the grades rise. A black belt aspirant must have knowledge of all the techniques and should master them. He must be a good observer. He must study all techniques and question his trainer about the use of different moves and how can adapt them to his style of fighting. Showing curiosity in the sport can also help the athlete get special attention from the trainer. This can help him learn fast and get an advantage over his peers.

A black belt aspirant has to practice meticulously and also maintain a strict diet. He can even maintain a record of his training hours and diet for better monitoring. He can also maintain a diary to record his improvement in various moves. It will help him record his daily performance, strengths and weaknesses. These records can also help him train his students.

Some Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mix Martial Art academies in Virginia, Washington, Maryland also consider an athlete's track record before promoting him to a higher grade. A black belt aspirant must follow all the rules and ethics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and avoid doing anything that would invite negative reviews from his trainer.
